The File Inspector Description: The File Inspector is the area of Videophile’s interface where a file may be inspected in detail. Here, it is possible to
• Preview the file • Preview all Segments created within the file • view all data held that relates to the file • Create new Segments • Delete Segments • Open the file in an external application
The Inspector comprises four expandable and collapsible tabs, as described below;
Specifications Tab Shows file system information and basic data about the video stream.
Preview Tab Allows for the file concerned to be previewed and also serves as the area where Segments are defined and Thumbnails are created manually.
Cataloguing Tab Here you can view all of the user-specified data relating to the file: Specifically, this is all Tags (both Implicit and Explicit) and any textual descriptions that you may have entered for the file
Segments Tab This is a list of all defined Segments in the File. Double click an item in the list to view that Segment; the current selection in the Preview area becomes defined by the start and end-points of the Segment.
