I've tried following the advice given for changing thumbnails (clicking on the 'capture thumbnail' button) but I can't seem to find this button. I think it might be a UI issue, because some of the buttons in the preview section can't be viewed and the bottom of the video seems to be cut off. The only buttons that I can click on in the preview section are the - and + buttons as well as the button in between those two (not clear what that does). I can also move the seek bar. I've tried changing my monitor resolution but that hasn't helped. My normal resolution is 1920x1200. Here's a screenshot:

What happens, incidentally, if you change your screen size to a more conventional resolution?

EDIT: Just noticed that you've already tried this

Back to pondering...

Hi Ironsmith
Do you have this issue with ALL movie files? did you try other types, like AVI, WMV, FLV ...

Hi Ironsmith,

are there any other discernible problems with the interface or is it just the Preview Panel?

A full screen-shot would be helpful, please, if you wouldn't mind...

Hi again guys,

I'm not sure what the file inspector section of the interface is supposed to look like but this section generally looks a bit squished or out of place on my computer. Changing resolutions or loading different video formats in the preview area doesn't make any difference either. Here's the full screenshot:

As far as functionality is concerned, I can still rate each video in the cataloguing section. Since the preview area is distorted though, I can't use any of the buttons to create segments or change thumbnails. I only have access to the buttons mentioned in my first post.

Hi again Ironsmith,

Yeah, the whole of the Inspector area looks seriously distorted! I see that you have your font settings on your PC set to 'Extra Large'.
Not an issue in iitself (tested at my end, though not at 1900x1200 - don't have that luxury!) but it does lead me to wonder whether you have any other custom settings in effect on your machine? And, if so, what happens when you re-set to 'out-of-the-box' values?

OK, I have a suggestion.

Version 1.4.0 is due to be released very soon. If this was a problem with 1.3.0 only then I guess there's not a lot I can do about it now.

So....

Here's the deal: I send you the latest version and you let me know if the problem persists. If it doesn't, then I'm not that fussed about this being a problem that is confined to 1.3.0 versions.

Please, though, keep this version to yourself as it is not the final 1.4.0 release...
