In HTPC Mode, the only part of the user-interface that is visible is the File Browser, which is displayed in Carousel Mode.

The over-arching principle and, therefore design, of HTPC mode is that one can use Vee-Hive from their armchair and still view the files that they wish to see, on their TV set. To this end, the design centres around the use of a remote control device: I, for one, have the ATI Remote Wonder II device, which allows me to operate my PC via a simple handset, such as one would use with a TV or Hi-Fi.

Setting Up Your Remote Control
Owners of remote controls will doubtless have some experience of setting up a profile to work with a specific application. All that this involves is mapping buttons on the remote control device to keyboard presses.

Below is a list of keystrokes that are used in HTPC mode and how they should be mapped to buttons on a Remote Wonder II remote control:
