When you have a video file that does not want to play, you are most likely not having the needed codec.
A good starting base is to have a so called codec pack installed on your system.

But if you have a codec pack installed and your video file still doesnt want to play, then you need to install the missing codec.
There are many ways to solve this problem.
The most EASY way IF you have GOMplayer installed:

If you have GOMplayer installed it will detect missing codecs for a video file that doesnt want to play on your PC.
Simply follow the suggestions that will appear in a popup window. "Download codec"
1- You will be guided to a website of GOMplayer where the codec is ready for download.
Download the codec setup file and store it on your hard drive.
2- Open windows explorer and go to the place where you have stored the codec setup file.
Double click on the codec setup file
3- A warning window might appear about "Unknow vendor" ...
Ignore the error and continue the install of the codec.
Now you are ready to play the video file as the needed codec is installed.
