The message "mcs_cor1.dll fot found" pops up while trying to add new files to the library, then program hangs on.
The OS is Win XP SP3.

Hi Andy,

mcs_cor1.dll has nothing to do with Videophile II, I can advise -

According to this link, http://driverscollection.com/?aid=40017%20...%202a78b2bc42 it is part of 'Samsung SC-D372 Codec v.1.0 for Windows Vista'

Is this something that you are aware of having once installed on your machine?

btw, you will have noted from the installation notes that Videophile II is recommended for use with ffdshow - do you have that installed?

Hi, I have installed the codec you have advised and that solved the problem with pop-up window "mcs_cor1.dll fot found". However, the programe often shuts down while scanning with standard message 'sorry for inconvinience...", it also includes such details "AppName: videophile ii.exe AppVer: 1.3.0.0 ModName: libavcodec.dll
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 0004798a" - if it is says you something.
ffdshow installed, but i also have samsung inelli-studio installed, perhaps these applications conflicts to each other?

Hmmm, actually I didn't suggest that you install that codec - I just pointed out what it was and that it was missing!

Never mind, though - I guess you need it as part of the Samsung package...

Perhaps you could try temporarily un-installing the Samsung software and then testing Videophile II to see if you still have the same problem? I have to say that it does sound like a conflict of some sort....

If you want to read about software and poorly coded codecs, go read the rantings at virtualdub.org

The samsung codecs are casusing much of trouble in many applications as they promote themselfs to the system as the only prefered codec to use for ALL applications.

If you want to get rid of the samsung codecs use a program to manage direct filters and remove all FUNxxxx modules (the FUNxxxxxx modules are part of the samsung shit)
