Speed-tagging allows the user to apply multiple Tags to one or more files in quick succession.
Let's assume that several files, 'A.avi', 'B.mpg' and 'C.wmv' have been selected in the File Browser. Dragging this selection onto 'Tag A' in the Library Tree will, of course, tag all of these files with that Tag. Now let's say that these files also required to be Tagged with 'Tag B' and 'Tag C'. This is where speed-tagging comes in: Instead of returning the mouse to the File Browser and dragging the same files to the Tree, you can left-mouse-down on any 'dead area' of the Tree and initiate the drag from there to Tag B and then again for Tag C. This saves a fair bit of mouse mileage and speeds up the process of applying multiple Tags to the same selection of file(s).
Speed-tagging becomes activated : - after a valid drop has been made on the Tree AND - the left mouse is held down on a dead area of the Tree
Speed-tagging is de-activated: - when a new selection has been made in either the File Browser or the Segments Tab
