Thanks again, your suggestion to switch to normal size fonts fixed this issue. I previously had the display setting on large size (120 DPI). There isn't really that much of a difference between the font sizes anyway, so I can stick to the normal font size for now.

I'll be happy to privately test the version 1.4.0 release and let you know how that handles everything. I installed the previous version of Videophile as well and found that the preview area looked fine even with the large font size setting in place. The cataloguing section still looked a bit squashed though.

Incidentally I think I might have screwed something up amidst that unistalling and reinstalling. Version 1.3.0 now has these bizarre black numbers on top of each thumbnail. Each thumbnail clicked on keeps switching between a 1 and 3 figure or 0 and 2 on top of the thumbnail. Clicking on any of those empty boxes around the thumbnail also brings up a number 5 which then disappears if the window is resized.

EDIT: The color of the numbers change to whatever the cursor colour setting is set to.

Here's a screenshot:

The weird numbers are a font problem.
Lets see what VP says about it, dunno what font he uses.

The installer installs a font called 'Videophile' and that is what is now missing on your system - hence the numbers 0-5 in the File Browser.

Run the installer again and it should be OK. Or locate the file videophile.ttf and install it manually via Control Panel | Fonts

Oh, and:

Actually, that is the Cataloguing tab in its 'collapsed' state - they can all be expanded and collapsed to you liking - just click on the tab (left-most part) of the panel.

You have much to discover grasshopper...

Got the font issue sorted now, thanks. Re-installing initially didn't work and the font was already installed, so I just removed the font from my system and ran the installer again, which got everything back to normal.

Cool. Got an email that I can send the Setup prog for 1.4.0 to, please?

Or shall I upload it somewhere?

btw, the installer for 1.4.0 has yet to be tested thoroughly so some feedback on that would be appreciated...
